Ghali and Manal’s apartment was the epitome of a Brooklyn ‘developer special’. This layout presented the usual challenges, including a cramped and poorly lit kitchen with inadequate storage. To address these issues, we leveraged the apartment’s soaring ceilings and installed custom millwork throughout, utilizing every inch of space. We repositioned the kitchen to the front of the apartment, allowing for natural light to flood the space and double the kitchen’s size. This practical solution offers a seamless integration of form and function, maximizing efficiency and ease of use. And selected materials that embody the our modernist design philosophy of form following function, using oak and micro cement to create a clean and minimalist aesthetic.
